creating a place to gather
Ever since 2009 when Severn started, we have attempted to respond to the invitation of Jesus to be involved in what He is doing in Bristol.
We came with a desire to contribute to the spiritual, social and cultural renewal and well-being of Bristol, by gathering a movement of people who share this passion. A movement of people who are inspired and empowered by Jesus and who bring life and hope to their communities and workplaces. We call this unique movement, “church”. A movement that gathers people from all walks of life, where everyone is welcome.
Healthy movements grow and the growth of Severn has meant that we have outgrown every venue we have used in the last nine years. Our current venues, the Station on Silver Street and the Powerhouse on Feeder Road, are now too small for weekend gatherings and Community Services.
If we are to continue to welcome more people to this movement, we need bigger premises to facilitate more people and more community services. We are really excited to share these plans for the next set of premises that we hope will facilitate the growth of Severn in the years to come.
Back in November 2017, in response to the three talks below, approximately £450,000 was given and pledged to this campaign. This amount is continuing to grow and if you would like to give and pledge towards this goal, please follow the advice below.
We invite you to join us in making these plans a reality.
