'Our Inheritance - Meeting the risen Jesus' by Til Gerber - March 15 2020

What difference would it make for us to meet Jesus after he rose from the dead? In this talk, Til Gerber, teaching pastor at Basel Vineyard in Switzerland, looks at what happened to Jesus' first followers when they did this.

At first, they were downcast. Although they had heard Jesus' teaching, they did not recognise Jesus or understand what needed to happen. It was when he ate with them that they started to realise what he had been doing. In doing this, Jesus brought them community and healing for sharing with others. These followers would soon receive power to do this.

Which group of disciples do you feel are like you: those who have heard Jesus but don't feel close, those who have eaten with the risen Jesus and want to grow in passion, or those already empowered and ready for mission?
